I believe my opportunity now is to help people struggling with their finances so they can spend more of their energy and focus on discovering more about Jesus... 00:46:06 Patti Joyal: Self doubt - I think we have been programmed that if we enjoy our job, we aren't doing it right. 00:46:06 Kimberly Watt: Micah 6:8 00:46:21 Daniel Perez: I work at a dealership in my town and I make decent money, I purchase cars from auctions online to be sold here, but it feels so counterintuitive to what I want to teach people even though I’m not directly involved with selling the vehicles and putting people in debt, so I definitely feel this discussion on a personal level.. 00:46:21 Tim Mann - Ramsey Coaching Team: @Kimberly, that’s my life verse. 00:46:24 Lisa Barber, Ramsey Coaching Team: @Patti, that’s a great observation. 00:46:29 Kimberly Watt: Nice 00:46:41 Jody Lamb: our purpose is to help people, to be kind, to show others God's love and presence through our actions, no matter what our job is 00:46:48 Charlie Parrish: I click on Real talk on FCMT and it only shows your faces and says “listen to the podcast” no links for videos except general Ramsey articles 00:47:03 Joshua Sanders: I think purpose comes from the external motives 00:47:12 Jim Scott: “The Power of Purpose, Find Meaning, Live Longer, Better” by Richard J. Leider 00:47:21 Ken Lawrence: Many times we take a job simply because it provides a good income but it's not really something we enjoy doing or feel called to do. We may be good at it or it's in the field of our education, but the only draw to it was the income. 00:47:26 Tim Mann - Ramsey Coaching Team: @Charlie, click on the “listen to podcast” button and it will take you to the list of recordings. Some have video, some don’t. 00:47:34 Charlie Parrish: Thanks 00:47:58 Ute Galloway: It is always good to get out of God's way, sit in the back seat and let Him drive. lol What a change that takes care of your life. 00:48:00 Mary Bibb: is there a way to see the chats on the recordings? 00:48:17 Erica Kerr: lol 00:48:33 Stephen Malinowski: NEVER KICK A DOG 00:48:36 Lisa Barber, Ramsey Coaching Team: Now we’ll get hate mail. 00:48:38 Deanna Marshall: My purpose: represent God as I re-present God 00:48:54 Jody Fayman: THE PROXIMITY PRINCIPLE Ken Coleman 00:49:13 Tabitha Wickenheiser: I am on a phone.... you should see a chat icon on bottom of screen. @marybibb 00:49:17 Kristin King: I think the negative work thoughts come in when I don’t see the value of what I’m doing (am I really making a difference?)or the world doesn’t value what I’m doing (“oh, you’re a stay at home mom…”) 00:49:24 Robert Saxby: I worked for many years working with independent store owners. Consulting them on how to be more profitable and improve their cash flow. I found it very rewarding when you saw one of them implementing the recommendations. Found some of the conversations going into their personal finances also. It was very fulfilling. 00:49:30 Ciara McSweeney: I keep thinking God puts you where you need to be often. I have had so many moments working with others where I was there at the right time. One memory as a retail worker a man came in looking lost, so many walked by him just doing their job ignoring customers so focused on restocking or in a bad mood because they didn’t think their job mattered. I came up to this man and asked if I could help him and he burst into tears, his wife had been shot the day before and he needed to find her loose clothes for when she came home and he didn’t know what size she was. I hugged him and just let him cry for a moment and then I was able to help him. He thanked me so much and I did something so small compared to what he was dealing with but in that moment I have him what he needed. As a former trainer in all my past jobs I always said this to my trainees,”you never know how you can impact someone’s day and at any job what you offer matters to someone.” In any job you do remember you will touch others lives in small ways 00:49:36 Patrick Clark: Wow!! 00:49:42 Mary Bibb: thanks for the info for the chats! 00:49:49 Ute Galloway: awesome 00:49:54 susan sherman: That’s making me cry! 00:50:00 Sonja Deming: That's awesome 00:50:02 Teressa Robinson: 🙌🏾 00:50:08 Sherry DuShaw: Wow! Wherever we are regardless of the circumstances, if we surrender to God and strive to serve Him where we are, He will do amazing work through us and give us purpose. 00:52:32 Erica Kerr: thank you regarding the Bible 00:52:37 Kimberly Watt: That's funny 00:52:42 Loretta Young: Lisa, you make everyone feel like they are your best friend! 00:52:48 Donna Johnson: Yes LIsa!!! 00:52:53 Dee Zimmerman: That is beautiful Lisa 00:52:55 michael Reed: Yes Lisa 00:52:59 Kristin King: I keep wanting to give comments a heart or a thumbs up. Newbie issue. Does the @ name send the comment straight to them or just draw their eye? 00:53:02 Anita Spaulding: I find God moving me to speak to specific strangers and smile with them. 00:53:10 Jiminell Cook: you give me hope Lisa, I too love to talk to people. I have been unable to move forward with my coaching because I feel so unsignificant 00:53:16 Katrina Kumfer: Amen! 00:53:18 Ellisse Hardy: Amen! 00:53:20 Renee Schlangen: Love you Lisa 00:53:20 Ute Galloway: that is called being all in 00:53:21 Elizabeth Albright: Lisa you are a lot like me personality wise! Talking to everyone because of the Lord 00:53:23 Joe Cotto: Amen Lisa (Col 3:23) 00:53:23 Kimberly Picarello: The company I worked for is closing and I lost my job. This subject hits home as I search for a new job. Thank you. 00:53:35 Patrick Clark: Well said Lisa. It’s all about attitude and faith 00:53:41 Mary Bibb: I need to learn how to be a better 'talker' to people ---such an introvert here. 00:53:42 Tim Mann - Ramsey Coaching Team: @Kristin, it’s just to draw the attention. Emojies are easier in the meeting format. This is the webinar from Zoom and works a little differently. 00:53:46 Ciara McSweeney: Love that mindset Lisa, We are always doing Gods work there is opportunity everywhere to do his work 💗 00:53:50 John Rielly: We are with you Kimberly!! You’ve got this!! 00:53:57 Jody Lamb: @ Kimberly Picarello same here 00:53:58 Jody Triche: Having the experience of doing a job that doesn't bring fulfillment gives you great perspective when you have a job that does bring you fulfillment 00:54:27 Claudia Johnson: amen 00:54:28 Deborah Brandon: Very good job Lisa in trying to connect with people to let them know they matter. 00:54:42 Pene Kossack: Sometimes by just saying Hello, shows that person that they are seen. It could be the 'hug' they needed. 00:54:45 Cherri Klinginsmith: Yes, attitude is everything. Like General Colin Powel said "You bring the weather" 00:54:58 Michael Eaton: my kids hate it when I say, "Wait, here I'm just going to run in for a second, and I'll be right back. " 00:55:00 Teressa Robinson: That's good Chris. 00:55:15 Christy Jiron: beautiful 00:55:19 Anita Spaulding: God kept me from getting another job so I would be at my present company when 2008 hit, when I got a new manager who is Christ filled, when COVID hit and my husband was diagnosed with Dementia. He kept me from making a mistake. 00:55:25 Ute Galloway: a purpose driven life 00:55:28 Joshua Sanders: Chris, thank you 00:55:40 Renee Schlangen: Smiles and hugs are free….. give freely! 00:55:56 Melissa Heebink: This verse came into my mind thank you 00:55:57 Joshua Sanders: Sound like the influencers 00:56:09 Karen Decker: Kimberly P. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻in finding your true purpose, let this be a new open door 🤗 00:56:11 Jane Hiebert: We are a sum total of all of our experiences! 00:56:27 michael Reed: I was just teaching forth grade this verse last sunday 00:56:30 John Rielly: Love that Renee!! 00:56:37 Rodney Bates: What is that verse again? 00:56:48 Lisa Barber, Ramsey Coaching Team: Our hope with Real Talk is that you feel poured into and refreshed. 00:56:49 michael Reed: Mat ch 6:8 00:56:57 Cherri Klinginsmith: I struggle with that at times, but when you share your joy, I think it encourages others. 00:57:00 michael Reed: The lord prayer 00:57:01 John Rielly: We love you Lisa!! 00:57:01 Tim Mann - Ramsey Coaching Team: Matthew 6:2-4 00:57:11 Bo Xie: Thanks,Tim 00:57:20 Stephen Malinowski: we need to examine our Motives for doing everything .Are they to please God or Man? 00:57:27 Ute Galloway: sometimes it is easier to move forward, not looking back and staying busy doing what God wants us to do. 00:57:31 Ciara McSweeney: Good question Tim. That’s a tough one. 00:57:32 Rodney Bates: Thanks Tim 00:57:42 Joshua Sanders: No I don't feel that. I feel proud to tell others how I can help others. It encourages others. 00:57:45 tammy smidt: Am I sharing about my work to find my own fulfillment, or to help the other person 00:57:50 Bo Xie: Heavenly reward vs Worldly reward! 00:57:50 Tabitha Wickenheiser: One of my favorite passtimes is listening to others talk about scripture. I love that it is at the heart and part of these Talks. 00:57:59 tammy smidt: It is about motivation 00:58:14 Anita Spaulding: If you get fulfillment is not bad. It is when you are trying to get others to be proud of us, or put us on a pedestal because we are really doing it all for selfish reasons. Like being greedy about money. 00:58:23 Brady B: I think you should share that your being fulfilled in your work it may help inspire those around you to do more… and help others more. I don’t think that sounds boast full 00:58:37 Karin Myron: @Anita, good insight 00:58:42 Christina Vaupel: When you are fulfilling your purpose, the how isn’t the focus. IE…my family’s purpose is to build and strengthen relationships in families and communities. Financial coaching is one facet of about 25+ activities (how’s) I do on a daily basis to fulfill that purpose. There’s no bragging when it’s who you are not what you do. 00:58:53 Kimberly Watt: My primal question (Mike Foster) is whether or not if I have purpose. I think it stems from lack of support/connection and trauma. Check out primal question. 00:58:55 Joe Cotto: Les, you are correct. Motive is key. 00:59:00 Steyn Coetzee: Your story is His story, He can use it as and when He pleases 00:59:05 Jody Triche: "Littany of Humility" prayer prayed consistently will take care of this 00:59:18 Michael Eaton: testimonies are to give hope not to boast. 00:59:27 Cherri Klinginsmith: Nicely said Les 01:00:02 Patrick Clark: If I’m really doing God’s work and complete the ‘work’ or task, I don’t need validation from anyone. If they notice and say something - great - if not that’s ok too 01:00:06 Michael Eaton: amen 01:00:19 Lindsay Becvar: Les, love that - asking for feedback from someone else - another perspective!! Also, asking God to search my heart - yes!!! 01:00:36 Aron Darling: @Scott C Miller: Can you repost your email; the one I wrote down bounced back. 01:00:38 Christina Vaupel: @Kimberly I hear you!! Finding your purpose takes reflective time and going through a job change, especially a sudden one, is challenging. 01:00:56 Scott Miller: I agree Lisa, your motivation is important. 01:01:08 Karin Myron: @Lisa, been there 01:01:31 Patrick Clark: Humility is a virtue 01:01:36 Lindsay Becvar: 😂 01:01:43 Joshua Sanders: 👀😂 01:02:04 Jane Hiebert: Thank you Les. Sometimes I feel like I’m boasting of my story. But, My motives are pure. So I’m not boasting after all. 01:02:06 Frank Coxon: was a sole custody father for years 01:02:06 Erica Kerr: I'm a single married woman with a 4, 5 and 9 year old 😭 01:02:14 Kimberly Watt: @Christina Yup. God redeems and brought full circle. I got yelled at for asking many questions so I stopped speaking up. Now, as I coach, I will soon get paid to ask questions. 01:02:28 Stella Moore: Can we see these webinars somewhere else? 01:02:30 Ciara McSweeney: This world needs more connection and relating to one another. That could heal so much pain there is and fear of judgment. 01:02:43 Kimberly Watt: Stella. fcmt dashboard 01:02:45 Mary Bibb: @ERICA - lifting you in prayer 01:02:49 Katrina Kumfer: truth 01:02:52 Scott Miller: If any of you coaches would like to connect sometime I'm very interested in having a chat with you and learn about your story. If you're interested, email me at Scott@MovingForwardToday.net. Talk soon! 01:02:52 John Nash: We can serve others or we can serve ourselves. Read a little further in Matt 6. The critical point is priority: There is no limit to what someone can achieve so long as they do not care who gets the credit. 01:02:57 Lyla Red: Lisa, can you please type here what you said compassion is? 01:03:00 Kiera Speed: Agree @Ciara 01:03:07 Ute Galloway: fact 01:03:15 Jody Lamb: oh Tim- that's the jewel of the year for me! 01:03:17 Kimberly Watt: Scott, how about semi old friends? 01:03:20 Les Nienow: Erica Kerr, you are a hero in my mind. 01:03:27 Tabitha Wickenheiser: @At Stella Moore. in the emails that they sent us is one place. There is a link to see other webinars. 01:03:34 Katrina Kumfer: In both extremes the focus is the self, not others. 01:04:19 Ute Galloway: like saying thank you, when someone gives you a compliment 01:04:24 Erica Kerr: thank you 01:04:37 Erica Kerr: yes I believe in prayers 01:04:43 Joshua Sanders: I seen that saying and someone commented under it "of course I hate my self more than someone else" dark humor for everyone 01:04:43 Tabitha Wickenheiser: @scott miller I love that. "moving forward today" 01:05:25 Patrick Clark: CS Lewis; Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less 01:05:33 Grace Thompson: I'm a married single mom with kids 7, 6, and 3 with a husband living in a nursing home due to an accident. But even in our situation, I'm still have a heart to help others become debt free 01:05:53 Tabitha Wickenheiser: Hi all.... I am in my own debt clearing journey and at the very beginning of my coaching journey. I would be happy to trade stories and encouragement. t.wickenheiser@gmail.com 01:05:59 Fanny Fierro: Hello @Sarah Scheller - I sent you an email 😃 01:06:04 Sarah van Akkeren: @Patrick - thank you!
